It was once considered a serious medical disorder - variously described as mal du pays, Heimweh, or el mal de corazón - with some cases ending in death. Four artists explore its meanings through various media including photographs, needle point, found objects, and paint.

A site specific dance featuring four dancers suspended within a billboard design at the corner of Mission and 24th Streets. The project examines the effect of women's images in public space and to encourage conversation about loss of public space to corporate messaging. Collaborators include composer Carla Kihlstedt, Rigger Sean Riley, Set Designer David Fresrickson/ figureplant, lighting by Mathew Antaky, and performances by Aimee Lam, Damara Ganley, and Jessica Swanson.

A contemporary exploration of the tarantella, a dance originally used by village elders in Italy to ward off the poisonous tarantula spider and heal ailments of the soul.
