Source Material

I've been working this week (on the thesis, of course) and on gathering all my source material for a play I'm writing. If you could see my room - the floor is covered with paper and images torn from magazines, the mess my daughter cooked up into it (her tiara, her gauzy butterfly, her etch a sketch, her beads), numerous boxes of cards dumped on the floor, the entire contents of McSweeny's 19 also spilled, a jump rope, a toothpaste tube squeezer, ink cartridges. It's time to get organized.

Considering some of the following images by Andy Warhol.

Because we're giving way to terror, to news of terror...new of disaster is the only narrative people need. - Lynne Tillman and Don Delillo.

The death series I did was divided into two parts, the first one famous deaths and the second one people nobody ever heard of, and I thought that people should think about them sometimes: the girl who jumped off the Empire State Building or the people who get killed in car crashes.
